Deputy commissioner of Chattogram Md.Elias Hossain has directed to concerned Village Court authority to become more active through quick disposal of cases so filed with them. He said due to non disposal of case within stipulated times, suits congestion experiencing largely in lower and higher courts.
He said if the minor disputes are mitigated in the village court, there will be no need of persuing the criminal or judicial courts. He disclosed it in the annual coordination meeting held at Chattogram Circuit House hall while reviewing the progress of the village court activities at village level.
Md.Elias Hossain said UP chairman should be more cordial in it and he should play impartial role in village court disputes proceedings .
He further said unless UP chairman, there is none of trial power among the elected public representatives. He also emphasized for strengthening the local govt system and advised the public representatives to discharge their responsibilities in a honest and sincerity.
