Special drives against the bill defaulters and illegal gas bypassing under Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company have been launched in the port city from December 31 last through 3 teams .
During the weeklong vigilance upto January 7 last, 930 domestic , 2 commercial, 2 CNG filing stations connections snapped for non-payment of arrear bills. Besides, 15 domestic lines, and 2 industrial connections also disconnected for illegal bypassing of gas from supply line, sources said.
