A view-exchange meeting of the the newly joined Police Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan police (KMP) Md. Humayun Kabir with the local people of Daulatpur area in the city was held at Bangladesh Jute Association (BJA) auditorium at around 11 am on Saturday.
The function was arranged by the authorities of Daulatpur police station under KMP.
Begum Monnuzan Sufian, MP, lawmaker of Khulna-3 constituency was present and addressed as chief guest while Md. Humayun Kabir, PPM, the recently joined police commissioner of KMP delivered his speech as chief discussant.
Prof. Sayed Sadik Jahidul Islam, Principal of govt. B.L. College, Sheikh Syaed Ali, BJA chairman and also President of Daulatpur thana unit Awami League, Molla Jahangir Hossain, deputy police commissioner (DC), North zone, and Sonali Sen, assistant commissioner of police (AC), Daulatpur zone were present and addressed as special guests.
DC, North of KMP Molla Jahangir Hossain presided over the meeting while the Officer-in-charge (OC) Md. Humayun Kabir of Daulatpur police station (Who joined on 1st July,2017) moderated the function.
Nur Islam Bando, a freedom fighter, Subir Kumar Roy, general secretary of Khulna Press Club, Sheikh Mohammad Ali, an Awami League leader, Alhaj Sharif Fazlur Rahman, a CIP, Mozammel Haque Howladar, a BFUJ leader, Shahidul Islam Bando, general secretary of Daulatpur Thana unit Awami League, Saiful Islam Mukul and Mizanur Rahman Miza Tarafdar, Awami League leaders, among others, were also present and addressed.
The speakers in the meeting mainly focused on the matter of reducing drugs and terrorism from the society as well as the country.
The chief guest said in her speech that our country has achieved the freedom with the blood-shed war making bravery fight by the freedom fighters responding the call of the father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
