An view exchange meeting and Iftar Mahfil were held with the scientists of Bangladesh Sugarcrop Research Institute at the Auditorium of the organization
On Tuesday. The chief guest was Alhaj Nuruzzaman Biswas, Member of Parliament for Pabna-4 constituency. The ceremony was presided over by the Director General Dr. Amjad Hossain.
Special guests were former MP Marjur Rahman Biswas, Municipal Mayor Ishaq Ali Malitha, General Secretary of Upazila Awami League and former Mayor Alhaj Abul Kalam Azad Mintu and Vice Chairman Abdus Salam Khan. Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Kuasha Mahmud officiated.
Speaking as the chief guest, MP Biswas called upon the Sugarcrop Research Institute to be fully digitalized, saying that the agri-friendly Awami League government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has set a groundbreaking example in the field of agriculture but it has not been able to play such a role.
Scientists, officials and employees should avoid grappling in the habit of the organization, improve the research, contribute to agriculture by inventing new sugarcane technology.
Dr. Hasibur Rahman Ranju, Chief Scientific Officer and Chief Agriculture Officer of the Department of Training and Technology was in charge of the overall management of the Iftar. Murad Malitha, joint general secretary of Upazila Awami League, Shafiul Alam Biswas, member of district council, agricultural scientists, journalists and political leaders were present on the occasion.
