Xinhua, Hanoi :
Vietnam’s budget overspending plunged over four times in the first half of this year compared to the same period last year, according to the country’s Ministry of Finance on Thursday.
Specifically, the budget deficit fell to 19.5 trillion Vietnamese dong (860 million U.S. dollars) from the 3.67 billion U.S. dollars reported in June 2016, mainly due to the Vietnamese government’s tight management over expenditures and efforts to secure budget collections.
