Vietnamese Ambassador to Bangladesh Tran Van Khoa called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Md Akhtaruzzaman on Friday at the latter’s office on the campus. The ambassador was accompanied by his spouse Pham Thi Minh Diep. During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest especially the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programmes among the Dhaka University and universities in Vietnam. Bangladesh and Vietnam are two friendly countries and both have been enjoying good relations for long time, they opined. DU VC apprised the Ambassador of brief history and as well as academic and research activities of the university.
Prof Akhtaruzzaman thanked the Ambassador for his visit to and keen interest in establishing joint academic collaboration with DU.
