Vietnam ready to be BD’s dev partner

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said Vietnam is ready to become a development partner of Bangladesh.
He said this during a meeting with Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid at the State Ceremonial Hall of the Prime Minister’s Office here Monday.
The Vietnamese Prime Minister gave assurances of removing all barriers to expand bilateral ties between the two countries, particularly in trade and investment, President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS after the meeting.
“We consider Vietnam as a good friend and want to progress towards development together,” he said and hoped that Vietnam will come forward in this regard.
The Bangladesh President requested the Prime Minister of Vietnam to take steps for simplification of visa procedures for Bangladeshi businessmen and citizens.
Nguyen Tan Dung deeply appreciated the meeting between the Bangladesh President and his Vietnamese counterpart held earlier in the day.
State minister for foreign affairs of Bangladesh M Shahriar Alam, Bangladesh Ambassador to Vietnam Shahab Ullah and Ambassador of Vietnam to Bangladesh Nguyen Quang Thuc, among others, were present.
Later, the President and his wife Rashida khanom joined a state bouquet hosted by the President of Vietnam Truong Tan Sang and his spouse at the International Convention Center.
A cultural programme was held in honor of the Bangladesh President.
