Ambassador of Vietnam to Dhaka, Pham Viet Chien on Tuesday expressed his resolve to improve relations with Bangladesh through collaborations of social organizations of the two countries.
The envoy said Bangladesh and Vietnam should unite develop together and support each other.
Speaking at a discussion on promoting people to people relations between the two countries, the ambassador said, he considered himself a friend of the people of Bangladesh rather than an ambassador.
Presided over by Abdul Jabbar, President of Nawab Salimullah Accademy, organiser of the programme.
The function was also addressed, among others, by Mostafa Kamal Majumder, Editor In-Charge, The New Nation, Imran Hossain, a Social Worker, Syed Abdal Ahmed, a Senior Journalist, Wahiduzza-man, a businessman, Azharul Islam Habib and Shawkat Amin.
The Vietnam Ambassador said, the people of the two countries would collaborate in areas of higher education, social work and business.
He said his country learned on micro credit and poverty reductions from Bangladesh.
A key not paper was earlier presented by Dr. Mostafizur Rahman.
