The Marcel Victory Day Wrestling Competition begins tomorrow at the gymnasium of National Sports Council.
Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation will arrange the wrestling competition under auspices of Walton Group.
Marking the ensuing wrestling competition for men and women, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday.
Head pf Sports and Welfare Department of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, General Secretary of Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation Tabiur Rahman Palowan, Joint-Secretary of the Federation Mesbahuddin Azad were present at the conference.
A total of 120 participants (60 men & 60 women) will take part in the two-day long wrestling meet. The teams, which will compete in the meet are-Bangladesh Army, Bored Guard Bangladesh, Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Ansar.
The competition will be held in weight categories for men and women.
The weight categories for men are: 55 kg, 61 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 74 kg, 86 kg, 97 kg, 125 kg.
The weight categories for women are: 48 kg, 53 kg, 55 kg, 58 kg, 60 kg, 63 kg, 69 kg, 75 kg.
