The Walton Victory Day Taekwondo Competition will begin on January 9 at the Gymnasium in the National Sports Council.
Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation will organize the taekwondo meet under auspices of Walton High-tech Industries Limited.
To mark the forthcoming taekwondo competition, a press conference was held at the conference room in the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Sunday.
President of Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation Kazi Morshed Hossain Kamal, General Secretary of Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation Mahmudul Islam Rana and Operative Director ( Head of Sports & Welfare Department) of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn were present at the conference.
A total of 400 athletes including 150 female taekwnodo participants will compete in the two-day long taekwondo competition.
Operative Director (Head of Sports & Welfare Department) of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn will open the taekwondo competition as the chief guest on January 9, while State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Sikder will be the chief guest on the concluding day (January10).
