The ‘Mujib Borsho’ 2nd Mutual Trust Bank Limited Victory Day Squash Competition begins tomorrow at the Squash Court in BAF Shaheen School & College.
Marking the upcoming tournament, a press conference was held at the conference room in the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Sunday. Bangladesh Squash Rackets Federation will arrange the squash meet under auspices of Mutual Trust Bank Limited.
Besides, the trophy-unveiling programme was also held at the same venue on the same day.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Squash Rackets Federation (BSRF) Brigadier General (Retd) GM Quamrul Islam, Treasurer of BSRF Kamran T Rahman, General Secretary of National Sports Council Masud Karim, Senior Manager (Communications) of Mutual Trust Bank Limited Shamima Chowdhury, former notional champion Md Shahjahan Shikder and incumbent national champion Md Sumon were present at the conference.
A total of 118 players including female participants will take part in the squash tournament.
The squash competition will be held in nine categories. The categories are: Open-Men’s, Open-Women’s, Under-13 (Boys’), Under-13 (Girls’), Under-16 (Boys’), Under-16 (Girls’), Under-19 (Men’s), Under-19 ( Women’s) and for Teachers & Markers.
The Tournament will be held at Bangladesh Army Squash Complex, BAF Shaheen School & College Squash Court and Uttara Club.
The opening ceremony will be held tomorrow at 3.30pm, while the concluding ceremony will be taken place on December 15.
