Bangladesh Homeopathic Parishad (BAHOP) , Chittagong District Unit celebrated the Victory Day through the discussion meeting at Science council building in Chowkbazar on Friday with its unit President Prof. Dr. Debratha Bhattachariya in the chair.
Chittagong Govt divisional representative of Bangladesh Homeopathic Board Alhaj Dr.Saleh Ahmed Suleman graced the occasion as Chief Guest. District vice president of BAHOP Dr. Sadhan Chandra paul , Dr. Abdur Rahman, secretary Dr. SM Saleh Jahangir, Ln. Dr. Pranab Biswas MJF, Lecturer Dr. Enamul Hoque, Dr. MA Gani, Dr. Sakina Akhter Lucky and Dr. Md. Mohsin attened the discussions as special guests. The chief guest in his deliberations emphasized the sacrifice of the sons of the soil for achieving great victory of Bangladesh from the occupation forces in 1971. The chair in his speech said we achieved independence under the leadership of Bangabandu and similarly with the dynamic leadership of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Bangladesh now stands a progressing country .
The speakers remembered the supreme sacrifices of the 30 lakh freedom fighters and prayed for salvation of the departed soul. Among others, Dr. Jatindra Nath Ballab, Dr. Ratan kumar Banik, Dr. Luftunessa, Dr. Imran Bin Ayub, Dr. Kabery Das, Dr. Kairunesa Munni, Dr. Md. Alauddin, Dr. Mir sharmin Akhter, Dr.Omar Faruk and Dr. Firoj Ahmed also spoke on the occasion, a BAHOP sources said.

A daylong colourful programs was observed on Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET) campus on Friday to mark the great Victory Day .
Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr. Rafiqul Alam launched the daylong programs through hoisting national flag at university central Shaheedd Minar early in the morning.
The programs of the victory day included discussion meeting, placing of wreaths at martyred graves within the CUET campus, friendly football competition, sports of the child and juveniles and cultural functions.
Vice chancellor Prof. Dr.Rafiqul Alam graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Dean of Mechanical Engineering Dr. Md.Mahbubul Alam, Directior of Institute of Energy Technology Dr. Md. Tajul Islam, Chairman of Centre for Industrial Problems Research Dr. Badius Salam, Provost Prof Md.Abdur Rashid participated the discussions as special guests. Director of Students Welfare Affairs Dr. Md. Masiul Hoque presided over the discussions duly moderated by Prof. Dr. Delwar Hossain, a CUET sources said.
The chief guest in his deliberations paid rich tributes to the valiant freedom fighters of the liberation war and re collected their sacrifices to the independence of Bangladesh.
He also recollected the long liberation struggle of Bangladesh with dynamic leadership of Bangabandhu in the discussions. He also urged the young generations to devote themselves to the development of the country with the spirit of liberation war, sources added.
