Vicky Duval of the United States hits a backhand shot to Luksika Kumkhum of Thailand during the first set of a US Open qualifying tennis match on Tuesday in New York. The qualifying round is Duval`s second tournament this year after missing last season to undergo treatment for cancer. Duval won the match.
