Local administration of Nandigram upazila in Bogura seized 840 kgs of rice meant for Vulnerable Group Development (VGD) programme from the house of a Jubo League activist on Thursday.
On information, upazila assistant commissioner (land) M Nurul Islam along with police raided the house of Jubo League activist Qamruzzaman at Barshan village in the afternoon and recovered 28 sacks VGD rice. During the driver, Qamruzzaman’s father Moksed Ali and his associate Abu Bakr Siddique fled the scene.
