BSS, Dhaka :Renowned journalist Hasanuzzaman Khan, former managing editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), died of a heart attack at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease here around 4 pm yesterday.He was 90, family sources said.Hasanuzzaman Khan left behind his wife, two sons, one daughter, relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death. According to a press release of Jatiya Press Club, body of Hasanuzzaman will be kept at mortuary of Bangabandhu Medical University Hospital yesterday. His body will be brought to the Jatiya Press Club after Zohr prayers today to pay homage to the veteran journalist.After a janaza, the eminent journalist will be buried at Mirpur Intellectual Graveyard.On September 5, 1926, Hasanuzamman Khan was born at Keraniganj in Dhaka. He started his journalism career in the daily Azad, which was published in Kolkata. The legendary journalist worked in several leading dailies including Swadhinata, Pakistan Observer, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the daily New Nation, Bangladesh Yesterday and the Financial Express.In his 60- year brilliant journalism career, Hasanuzamman achieved the highest professional excellence showing extra-ordinary talent in the field of journalism. He won Ekushey Award for his outstanding contribution to journalism.The acclaimed journalist received very high profile training on journalism in Manila and served as resource person in Press Institute of Bangladesh.
