Veteran Bengali poet Sankha Ghosh has tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday. The 89-year-old Padma Bhushan awardee is getting treatment staying home isolation as his fever has gone down, reports PTI. A senior official from Indian health department confirmed that the poet is doing well for now. He said, “His condition is stable. He currently has no fever but is very weak. He has been advised home isolation. The noted poet suffered from a slight bout of fever and was tested for the disease a couple of days ago.” Ghosh, who suffers from several comorbidities, was hospitalised a few months ago due to deterioration of his health condition.
