The lawyers of Chittagong mentioned that some vested lawyers are the barriers to set up High Court Circuit bench in Chittagong .
 This was disclosed by the lawyers at a press conference held at Chittagong Press Club on Friday arranged by High Court Circuit Bench Implementation Parishad . Member Secretary of the Parishad Advocate Sankar Prasad Dey read out the written statement at the press conference .
The press conference was told that a number of Dhaka -based lawyers are the barriers to set up HC Bench in Chitagong as they will be deprived of the interests if any bench is situated outside Dhaka. The speakers in the press meet said a section of unscrupulous lawyers always think about their self interests rather general interests as such they oppose it. The press meet was told that Prime Minister has cordial interest to set up HC bench in Chittagong and there is no bar for HC bench outside Dhaka.
 Mentionable that Prime Minister asked the Chief Justice in 2010 about the HC bench but this agenda in Supreme court full bench adjourned that agenda till now. The press meet also mentioned the judiciary system of neighbouring India where 24 full bench high court are functioning beside more 14 Circuit Bench.
The written statement said despite main sea port in Chittagong , the Admiralty court is functioning in Dhaka and no precedence like this is existing across the world .Admirality court is specifically functions for immediate solution of port an d vessesls related matters . Among others Convenor of the Parishad Advocate Abul Hashem, Chief Coordinator Adv. Kashem Kamal, general secretary of Ctg Bar association Adv Enamul Hoque , joint secretary Adv. ASM Bazlur Rashid Adv. Badrul Huda Mamun, Adv. Shipon Kumar Dey and Adv. Iqbal Hasan were present in it.
