Vessel carrying 1st set of metro train reach Mongla port

The vessel carrying six coaches of metro train (Mass Rapid Transit) in the first set reached at the Mongla port this afternoon. The ship is now waiting for anchoring at the port.
The ship’s local shipping agent Ancient Steamship Co. Ltd’s General Manager Ohiduzzaman confirmed this information to the media.
Ohiduzzaman said the ship ‘MV SPM Bangkok’ with 6 coaches from Kobe port of Japan is now waiting to be anchored at Mongla port. The coaches will be unloaded at the port’s yard No. 9 after the sheep are fully anchored at the Mongla port jetty.

Japan’s Kawasaki-Mitsubishi Consortium Company Limited is building the coaches for the Metro Rail. The importer of this coach in Bangladesh is Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL).
