Verdict on Risha murder Oct 6

The Senior Special Judge Court of Dhaka on Wednesday fixed October 6 to pronounce verdict in the case filed over the murder of Suraiya Akhter Risha who was a Class VIII student of Willes Little Flower School of Kakrail in the capital.

 the date yesterday for passing the verdict after concluding the closing arguments placed by both the prosecution and defence lawyers.
On August 24, 2016, Risha was seriously hacked and she was immediately rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. She succumbed to the injuries on August 28. Risha’s mother Tania Hossain filed a case with Ramna Model Police Station Under Sections 324/326 and 307 with Section 10 of Women and Children Repression Prevention Act. Later, after Risha’s death the case was formed into a murder case Under Section 302 of the Penal Code. Of the 26 witnesses of the case 21 testified.
