The verdict in the five-year-old Samiul Azim Wafi murder case has again been deferred. The new date is 12 December. The judge fixed the date yesterday.
Judge Shaikh Nazmul Alam of Dhaka’s Special Judge Court-4 will deliver the verdict.
Samiul’s mother Ayesha Humayra Esha and one Shamsuzzaman Arif alias Baku,43, are the accused in the murder case. Shamsuzzaman is still on the run.
On June 23, 2010, Samiul was kidnapped and murdered as he witnessed their
illicit affairs, according to the case statement.
Samiul’s father filed the murder case against Ayesha and Shamsuzzaman with Adabor Police Station on June 24 of the same year.
