Venue of AFC Cup remains unchanged

FIFA, the highest body of world football and AFC, the highest body of Asian Football postponed the matches of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers 2022 and AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers 2023. The matches were scheduled to be held in this year. FIFA and AFC decided that the matches would be held in 2021.
On the other hand, the matches of AFC Cup 2020 will be held in the due time, so far. It is an Asian club based football tournament.
Bashundhara Kings, the champions of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football, TC Sports Club of Maldives, Maziya Sports & Recreation Club of Maldives, Chennai City FC of India have been pencilled in Group-E.
The matches of the Group-E of AFC Cup will be held in Maldives. The matches of the tournament were scheduled to be held in home and away basis. But later, AFC decided to stage the matches in Maldives due to coronavirus outbreak.
Bashundhara Kings made a flying start defeating TC Sports Club of Maldives by 5-1 goals in their first match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
Bashundhara Kings will take on Maziya Sports & Recreation Club on October 23, face Chennai City FC on October 26, meet Chennai City FC on October 29, play against TC Sports Club on November 1 and meet Maziya Sports & Recreation Club on November 4.
