A medical fund titled “Vice-Chancellor (VC) Emergency Medical Assistance Fund” was launched at Jahangirnagar University (JU) aiming at providing financial assistance to the university community for ensuring better health care.
JU VC Professor Dr. Farzana Islam inaugurated the fund by receiving a check worth of Tk 0.75 lakh from former two JU students at a function on the campus here on Monday, a press release said on Tuesday.
The students, teachers, officers and staffs of the university will get financial assistance from the fund for getting better treatment.
The account no.of the fund is 0200008947626 at Agrani Bank, JU branch. Any Bank, Insurance, financial institution and trust would be allowed to donate money in the fund, the release added.
