Varun suffers an injury on the sets of Kalank

Varun Dhawan, who is currently shooting for his upcoming period drama Kalank, has unfortunately suffered an arm injury on the sets of the film. The actor was reportedly shooting an action sequence for the film during which he injured his arm resulting in the shoot coming to an abrupt halt.
As per a report in a leading daily, a source from the set said, “The scene was an intense brawl sequence where Varun had to lift and throw a door at a co-actor. The lift was ill-timed, and he ended up injuring his arm badly. The team rushed to his aid and he was given immediate medical attention on set. However, the actor will not be taking a break from the shoot as Abhishek is aiming to wrap up the ongoing schedule before the onset of monsoons.” Later in the day, Varun came back on the set to a special dance track for the film. The producer, Karan Johar also paid a visit to the set to have a look over the special dance track.
Talking about the film, Kalank is a period drama which boasts a star cast of Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit and Sonakshi Sinha. The film is directed by Abhishek Varman, who’s previously release, 2 States garnered praises from all over. It is jointly produced by Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta and co-produced by Fox Star Studios. The film will be hitting the screens on 19 April 2019.
