Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan’s Coolie No. 1 has been stalled momentarily due to an unfortunate incident. The film set at Filmistan Studios in the Mumbai suburbs is completely gutted putting the film on hold for a couple of days. And that has left the cast and crew with some free time until the set is recreated.
According to reports in a daily, it will take at least a fortnight or more for the set to be rebuilt. It’s a huge loss of time for both Varun and Sara, who have hectic schedules given their work commitments. However, now that they have these few days off due to the uncalled for the incident, both the actors are planning to make the best of their days, off work. According to reports, they are planning to take off on a holiday. Coolie No. 1 is a remake of the 1995 Govinda and Karisma Kapoor starrer by the same name. It was also directed by Varun’s father, David Dhawan who is directing the remake which is produced by Vashu Bhagnani.
While director David Dhawan, taking the mishap rather well opines that such things happen. He believes that there’s no guarantee in life about anything. So rather than sitting around moping over the incident, they are all going to make the best of this free time that has come their way unintentionally. The first schedule of this remake was kick-started in Bangkok last month and now with the Mumbai schedule, the plan was to wrap the film until the fire incident took place.
It’ll be interesting to see which companions and destinations the stars choose if at all they take off on their quick getaway.
