A group of miscreants ransacked a diagnostic centre and private clinic at Pabartak area under Panchalaish thana in city on Thursday night.
The name of the private clinic named Treatment Centre owned by City BNP Secretary Dr. Shahdat Hossain. Private clinic, diagnostic centre, and specialized childcare unit are located in the Treatment Centre.Besides specialist doctors are also regularly see patients in respective chambers, sources said .
Clinic sources said a group of miscreants riding on 3 motorbikes at about 12 midnight of Thursday arrived in front of the clinic and ransacked the properties of the hospital by hur ling brickbats and petrol bombs and also vandalized the hospital ambulance.
Ambulance driver Md. Shamim was also injured with beating by the miscreants.
On that time , Dr.Shahdat Hossain was not available in the hospital , said clinic manager Didarul Alam. Following the throwing of petrol bomb, fire broke out but the employees of the clinic brought the fire under control immediately. Hospital sources said a GD in connection has been lodged with Panchalish thana .
