A pickup van driver was crushed under the train in the Uttara area of the city on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Abdul Karim(45), son of Abul Kashem, hailing from Rajapur village under Feni Sadar.
Witnesses said, a train knocked Abdul Karim down at Sector-4 of Uttara area while he was crossing
the rail-track around 1:00pm.
Local people rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries around 5:00pm.
Sub Inspector of DMCH Police Outpost M. Mozammel Haque confirmed the matter to the reporters.
