The vaccination to garment workers and employees has begun to prevent the coronavirus (Covid-19) infection at at the auditorium of Tusuka Denim Washing Factory at Konabari, Gazipur at 10:30am on Sunday (July 18).
A total of 12,000 garment workers from four factories will be vaccinated on the first day of the vaccination programme.
Gazipur City Corporation Mayor Md Jahangir Alam was present as the chief guest while Gazipur Deputy Commissioner SM Tariqul Islam, Gazipur Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Zakir Hasan and others attended the programme as special guests.
At first phase, four factories will get the vaccine. The factories are: Sparo Apparels Ltd of Laxmipura, Rose Valley Garments of Bhogra area and two factories of Tuska Group of Konabari area.
