The Walton Home Appliance Victory Day International Rapid Chess Tournament begins today (Sunday) at the National Sports Council Old building.
RB Group additional director head of games and sports FM Iqbal Bin Anwar will inaugurate the two-day meet as the chief guest at 11 am, sponsored by Walton and organised by Bangladesh Chess Federation (BCF).
Some 120 rated and unrated players will compete in the 9 Swiss League system. A cash prize of Taka 50,000 will be given in different categories.
In this regards, a press conference was held on Saturday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium conference room to give all the details of the meet.
RB Group additional director head of games and sport FM Iqbal Bin Anwar, BCF vice president Syed Shahabuddin Shamim and general secretary Gazi Saiful Tareq, among others, were present on the occasion.
