Victory Day Handball competition (men’s and women’s) begins from today at the Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the city. State Minister for Youth and Sports Mohammad Zahid Ahsan Russel is expected to inaugurate the meet as the chief guest. A total of 12 teams– six of men’s and equal number of women’s-will compete in the meet, organised by Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF), on the occasion of 50 years of victory day celebration.
