The remittance inflow to the country rose to $1258.16 million in December from $1182.95 of November last year, according to Bangladesh Bank (BB) data released Monday.
The inflow in December is also higher than the remittance the country received in same month a year ago.
The country saw the highest ever inflow of monthly remittance in July, 2014 with the amount hitting as high as $1492.47 million ($1.49 billion).
BB officials concerned said the actual remittance receipt might cross $15 billion when the total amount for December would be available.
