Kotchandpur upazila Vice Chairman and upazila Jamaat Secretary in Jhenidah was arrested by police on Wednesday. The arrestee is Moabia Hossain son of late Mohammad Ali of Kotchandpur Railway Stationpara under Kotchandpur upazila of the district.
Officer in charge (OC) Fazlur Rahman of Kotchandpur police station said, the newly- elected vice chairman has been arrested from upazila premises on Wednesday noon at around 2-00 pm for his alleged involvement in specific charges brought against him.
The arrestee was sent to jail hajat on Wednesday evening, the OC added.
