Upazila Primary Education Officer Anwarul Islam has been arrested from his office with bribe money by the team of Anti-Corruption Office at Gafargaon under Mymensingh recently .
At that time ACC also arrested his office assistant Siddikur Rahman and clerk Uttom Kumar for their involvement .
Getting secret information, a team led by Nasim Anwar , Director of Dhaka Division Anti-corruption Commission went Upazila Primary education officer and outwitted TK 8000 as bribe money from them. Later, the team also rescued Tk one lakh 33 hazar from his residence at Upazila Quarters.
Headmaster Jahangir Alam Jwel of Barvora Government Primary School of Gafargaon Upazila alleged in Mymensingh Zila Anti-corruption Commission office on 31 July against Anwarul Islam. He mentioned in allegation that Anuwarul Islam demanded TK 10000 to 40000 as bribe money for allotment to implement Annual Development Action Plan based on school in the last year.
