The Local Government Department (LGD) of the Khulna district administration has set up Ultraviolet Light (UV-C) disinfection box in Khulna to prevent coronavirus.
Deputy Director of LGD and Coordinator of Accountable Local Government Project Iqbal Hossain recently inaugurated the sterilization box at his office.
Iqbal Hossain said that under the supervision of the local government department, the officials and employees and representatives of the Union Parishad will provide various civic services directly at the grassroots level for preventing the outbreak of Covid-19.
Local government department will set up UV-C disinfection box at 30 Union Parishads of the district. Young entrepreneur engineer Chhadrul Alam assisted in making the disinfection box.
Assistant Commissioner of Khulna District Administration Nuri Tasmin Urmi, among others, was present on the occasion.
