UNB, Dhaka :A man who received burn injuries in a fire at a shopping mall in the city’s Uttara area on Friday evening died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital early Saturday taking the death toll from the incident to seven.The deceased was identified as Mahmudul Hasan, 36, deputy general manager engineer of Tropical Homes Limited.Mahmudul, who suffered burns to 80 percent of his body, succumbed to his injuries at the burn unit of the hospital around 4am, said hospital sources.Earlier, six people died and around 50 others were injured in the fire incident.Fire Service sources said the fire broke out at the 14-storey Tropical Alauddin Tower Shopping Complex around 6:15pm following a blast after the collapse of three lifts.
