Uttar Baridhara Club stunned Team BJMC beating them by 3-0 goals in the 2nd leg match of the Nitol-Tata Bangladesh Premier Football League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Monday.
With the day’s feat, Uttar Baridhara Club secured 10 points from 13 matches while Team BJMC 15 points playing 13 matches.
Uttar Baridhara Club took lead in the very 4th minute as their Nigerian forward Collins Tiego found net by header to empty net, off a long cross from Nazrul Islam Sumon (1-0).
Guinean striker Ismael Bangoura of Team BJMC had two opportunities to restore the parity in two minutes. He fired over the bar from close in the 32nd minute while he did the same mistake two minutes later from six-yard box.
Faiz Alam rectified his early mistakes by doubling the Baridhara lead in the 66th minute (2-0). The Indian forward slotted home past BJMC keeper Himel after a low cross of Khalequr.
Sujon Biswas sealed the fate of the match in the 87th minute by a placing the ball home from rebounder when a header of Collins came his way from BJMC custodian Himel (3-0).
