Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal suggested utilization of unused funds for implementation of other projects under the same ministry.
“The ministry can use the unused fund of a project for implementation of another one for better performance and completion of the work in the stipulated time,” he said.
His suggestion came at a meeting with the secretaries and planning commission members at the NEC conference room at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on Thursday. The minister also said the goal of the government is to raise the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to 7 per cent.
He also emphasized strengthening project monitoring cells and improving professional skill of the officers.
