UTAB wants govt interference to pay Hajj package fees

The leaders of Uttarbanga Hajj and Travel Agents Association of Bangladesh (UTAB) on Thursday urged the government to issue a notification in various newspapers immediately as the pilgrims pay their Hajj package fees soon to the Hajj agent’s bank accounts.
They made the urge at a meeting of the UTAB held in its office at Purana Paltan in Dhaka with its President Dr. Abdullah Al Naser in the chair. UTAB Secretary General Jaminur Rahman, Joint Secretary General ASM Mokarrebur Rahman Nasim and Treasurer Md. Kamruzzaman were present in the meeting.
In a release of the UTAB, it said that the Hajj agents are in trouble due to hike of price for rental tents, value of Saudi Riyals and Monajjem fees. If they pay their dues, the agencies could manage their expenditures.
