The Public Service Commission (PSC) has prohibited use of watches during the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations. Earlier, the PSC also banned calculators and mobile phones in the examination halls.
According to a statement issued by the PSC on Sunday clocks will be arranged alternatively to check time.
“The PSC will arrange clocks in the examination halls to check time,” PSC official Alamgir Hossain said.
The 36th BCS preliminary test is scheduled to be held on Friday (Jan 8).
As many as 2,11,326 aspirants will take part in the tests at 107 centres across the country.
Since the 35th BCS preliminary tests, the PSC has prohibited the use of any kind of electronic device, including calculators and mobile phones by test takers.
