The US Department of State’s Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs William E Todd is in city and leading an interagency delegation to discuss issues of mutual interest.
During his stay here, Todd will meet government officials to discuss
bilateral relations, the security situation, and regional integration and follow up on the last week’s visit of US Assistant Secretary of State Nisha Desai Biswal. He will also meet representatives from civil society, said a statement issued by the US Embassy in Dhaka on Wednesday. Immediately prior to this assignment, PDAS Todd served as the US Ambassador to Cambodia, where he focused on the advancement of democracy, human rights, regional stability, counterterrorism, and trade and investment.
