Dr Wayne Wanta, Professor of the Department of Journalism of University of Florida, USA called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique on Monday at the latter’s office.
Chairman of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of DU Prof Mofizur Rahman was present on the occasion.
During the meeting they discussed various issues including development of broad-cast journalism in Bangladesh.
They also discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs by the University of Dhaka and the University of Florida, USA.
Professor Wayne Wanta will deliver DU Mass Communication & Journalism Department Anniversary Lecture on ‘The Changing Effects of the News Media’ tomorrow at RC Majumder Arts Auditorium of the university at 11am.
