Prof Dr Pranab K Sen of the North Carolina University, USA called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique on Thursday at the latter’s office.
Prof Dr Md Amir Hossain of the Institute of Statistical Research and Training (ISRT) of DU was present on this occasion.
During the meeting they discussed various environmental issues including the development of environment and public health sectors in Bangladesh.
They also discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs on environmental pollution and public health by the University of Dhaka and the North Carolina University, USA.
