Earl R. Miller, U.S. Ambassador to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, passed busy time on second day of his three-day visit passed busy time in Barishal region on Wednesday .
He inspected historical architecture of Karapur Mia Bari Mosque at Barishal city-skirt and English medium Jahanara-Israil School and College of Barishal city.
Besides, he also met with Anwar Hossain Manju MP at Bhandaria in Pirojpur in morning, gave an interview with Barishal station of Bangladesh Betar in the noon and attended a dinar with US Alumnae Association on Wednesday night.
Earl R. Miller, U.S. Ambassador to Bangladesh came Barishal on Tuesday afternoon by Green Line Waterways for a three-day visit in Barishal region.
This was first visit in Barishal of this carrier diplomat of US Foreign Service after he joined as ambassador to Bangladesh on November 13, 2018.
S M Ajiar Rahman, Deputy Commissioner, Saiful Islam, District Superintendent of Police, Moazzem Hossain Bhuiyan, Deputy Commissioner (South) of Barishal Metropolitan Police, welcomed the US diplomat at Barishal River Port.
Then he was escorted to Barishal Hotel Grand Park and on Tuesday late afternoon in a courtesy visit to the secretariat of divisional commissioner Barishal, met with divisional commissioner Ram Chandra Das, Deputy Inspector General of Police Shafiqul Islam.
After visiting different areas of the region he will leave Barishal for Dhaka by air on Thursday, sources said.
