The US Embassy here announced interview waiver programme for visa application of the Bangladeshi non-immigrant.
“The U.S. Embassy’s Consular Section is pleased to announce an Interview Waiver Program for qualified Bangladeshi non-immigrant visa applicants. This program permits consular officers to waive interviews for the certain qualified non-immigrant visa applicants who are renewing their non-immigrant visas,” said an US embassy release on Wednesday.
The program, however, is not for the first-time applicants, rather it is applicable for the certain applicants renewing their visas, it added.
Qualified applicants will be those who are renewing a visa, are citizens or residents of Bangladesh and are currently residing in Bangladesh, and are applying for the same type of visa as previously issued.
The applicant’s previous visa will have to have been issued on or after January 1, 2008, said the release.
