US-Bangla Airlines will deploy one of its wide-bodied aircrafts Boeing 737-800 on Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar-Dhaka route from June 27 considering high trend of tourist flow to the beach town, the country’s premier tourist destination.
“We will operate at least one flight daily to Cox’s Bazar with 168-seated Boeing 737-800 from June 27,” spokesperson of US-Bangla Airlines told on Monday.
Presently, the US-Bangla Airlines operates 2 daily flights to Cox’s Bazar with 76-seated Dash 8Q400.
The runway extension of the Cox’s Bazar airport recently paved the way to all airlines for operating cox’s Bazar flight with wide-bodied aircraft that will give a boost in flourishing country’s tourism industries.
The government is working to turn the Cox’s Bazar airport into an international one to make cox’s bazar a single destination for the international tourists.
The Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the national flag carrier, is the first to operate wide-bodied aircraft to Cox’s Bazar as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina formally launched the operation of the wide-bodied aircraft on the expanded runway of the Cox’s Bazar airport on boarding Biman’s Boeing 737-800 “Meghdoot” in last month.
