US BANGLA to fly Muscat daily from Dhaka, Ctg

Private carrier US BANGLA Airlines is going to operate daily flight to Muscat, Capital of Oman, from Dhaka and Chittagong in January 14 following extra demand of passengers.
“Over 80 percent of our capacity is being occupied in Muscat bound flight while the return flight is also experiencing the same since the introduction of operation in the route,” Deputy General Manager (Marketing Support and PR) of US BANGLA Airlines M Kamrul Islam told.
“This huge response has encouraged us to operate daily flight in Dhaka-Muscat and Chittagong-Muscat routes, as we had collected seven slots earlier,” he added.
As per the latest move, US BANGLA flight would leave Dhaka at 9pm while Chittagong at 10:45pm in every day of a week and reach Muscat at 2pm (local time).
Besides, the flight would depart Muscat at 3pm (local time) for Chittagong and Dhaka and arrive at 9:30am and 10:40am respectively, he added.
The carrier, earlier in November 11 last year, initially started Muscat operation through four flights in a week from Dhaka and Chittagong.
In Dhaka-Muscat, one way lowest fare has been fixed at Taka 17,760 while return fare at Taka 38,607 and for Chittagong-Muscat, Taka 17,760 has been fixed as one-way fare while return fare is Taka 40,557. All taxes and surcharge are included in the fare.
Apart from Muscat, now the US BANGLA has been operating international flight in Kolkata and Kathmandu routes. In addition, the carrier has also been covering all domestic routes since its inauguration.
US BANGLA has planned to start operation to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Guangzhou of China and Doha gradually, said Kamrul Islam.
The carrier started inaugural flight with the motto “fly fast-fly safe” on July 17, 2014 and so far operated 20,000 flights which is a record in the Bangladesh’s aviation history.
US BANGLA has total five aircraft in its fleet, of which two is Boeing 737-800 while another three is Dash Q8-400. The carrier is also expecting to incorporate another Boeing 737-800 with in February.
