The news about the US-BANGLA plane accident at Saidpur as cast or printed by various electronic and print media was untrue. The information about the aircraft’s sliding away from the runway or passengers’ being injured is also untrue. The fact is that the plane carrying 74 passengers from Dhaka at 7.27 AM safely landed at Saidpur airport on September 4 (Friday). When after taking U-turn, the plane was coming to parking bay, one of its landing gears got stuck up. Later all passengers were removed to the terminal safely.
This incident did not cause any injury to any passenger, nor any damage was done to the aircraft. Later, expert US-BANGLA engineers from Dhaka rushed to the spot. Shortly, the engineers took the plane to the parking bay and the plane duly returned to Dhaka carrying Dhaka-bound passengers. Even the same aircraft operated scheduled flights from Dhaka to Chittagong and Jessore on the same day.
The news items that have been cast or printed in a section of the electronic or print media are untrue, baseless, motivated, concocted and part of conspiracy by some interested quarters. From the inception US-BANGLA airlines has been attaching priority to passengers’ safety. US-BANGLA airlines have successfully operated about six thousand flights during the last one-year. This is the highest record in the domestic route so far.
Within eight months of its flight operation airline helped national flag carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines supplying pilots and cabin crew in its (Biman) operation in the domestic routes. US-BANGLA airline is the only airline in the country to be ISO 9001-2008 certified and a member of AM-CHAM (American Chamber of commerce and industry). In 2014 it also earned the glory of being the best airline in the domestic route. US-BANGLA airline is Bangladesh’s only airline enlisted in the Division of Corporation of USA’s New York state. Its DOS ID number is 4413095. In August last year world famous Savron with their experts examined the safety records of US-BANGLA airlines. They found the safety and flight operation records and recognized it as of international standard.
Some electronic and print media have exaggerated Friday’s incident. Those were just the opposite of reality. Even they did not take any version of US-BANGLA authority. Authority concerned expects more responsible role from the media. At the same time the authority hopes that all misgivings among the people will be over with this statement.
