US-Bangla Airlines plans to launch flights on international routes this year.
The private sector airliner’s Managing Director Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mamun divulged the plan at a press conference in Dhaka on Sunday.
“We are planning to introduce flights on Nepal, Bhutan, Kolkata, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and other international routes within this year,” he said.
Mamun said a Boeing 737 was being added to the fleet for launching the international flights.
He said the airliner would operate four weekly flights on Dhaka-Barisal route from July 10 and three weekly flights from Dhaka to Rajshahi from the next day.
It will fly to Barisal at 3:30pm on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and will leave Barisal at 4:20pm the same days.
The flight to Rajshahi will leave Dhaka at 3:10pm on Saturday, Monday and Wednesday and will start from Rajshahi at 4:10pm.
The lowest fare for the two destinations has been fixed at Tk 3,200.
