A six-member delegation of the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA led by its President Rev John Jenkins called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique on Saturday at the latter’s official residence in DU.
Other members of the delegation are Vice-President and Associate Provost for Internationalization J Nicholas Entrikin, Professor of Philosophy and Theology David B Burrell, Assistant Provost for Asia Dr Jonathan Noble, Instructor-Holy Spirit Major Seminary Bausui Fr Thomas McDermott and Vice-President, Mission and Church Affairs Fr. Bill Lies. Prof Benjamin D Costa, Vice-Chancellor, Notre Dame University, Dhaka was also present on the occasion.
During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest specially possibilities of exchange of faculty members, students and researchers and undertaking joint academic programs between DU and Notre Dame University, USA.
They also discussed possibilities of collaborative academic program and between Notre Dame University, Dhaka and Notre Dame University, USA.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Arefin Siddique thanked the guests for their visit to Dhaka University and their deep interest about its academic activities. He presented a Crest of Dhaka University to the President of Notre Dame University, USA.
