Urmila Srabonti Kar started her journey in media through Lux-Channel i contest. She has already established herself in showbiz by virtue of her outstanding performances. She is now a professional actress, everybody knows it well. As a result, round the year often she is seen on the screen to work. At this stage, she has reduced to act in average typed works. She does not think alternative of good works right now. For this, she has been engaged herself with two new drama serials under two noted directors. One is Ezaz Munna’s Astha and another is Nazrul Islam Raju’s Sunflower.
Story of Astha is written by its director himself, while Mezbahuddin Sumon wrote story of serial Sunflower. The first one is being aired on NTV now where Urmila is playing the role of Nafiza.
On the other hand, after finishing shooting of first phase of Sunflower Urmila has returned to Dhaka from Dinajpur on September 24. She is acting the role of Mithila in this serial.
While sharing her feelings to work in two serials at a time Urmila told this correspondent, “When I came in media through Lux-Channel i contest I got Tareen Apu. She is one of my idols in acting. She is one of my favourite persons, also favourite actresses. It is really a great achievement for me I got her as my co-actress in this serial. She likes me well. While taking part in shooting she cooperate me well which also impress me. In fact, I am very much excited about these two serials.”
Urmila also informed that Sunflower will go on air on NTV from October 2. Due to her father’s illness Urmila couldn’t work in last Eid. After Eid, she acted in Sumon Dhor’s Puja special play titled Tithir Otithi. From September 27, she will again engage with shooting of Ezaz Munna’s serial Astha, Urmila mentioned.
