UNB, Dhaka :
Bangladesh Assistant Primary Teachers’ Society demanded that their status be upgraded to the 2nd class and their minimum pay scale be fixed at Tk 5,900. They came up with the demand on Thursday at a press conference at the Jatiya Press Club.
Speaking at the press conference, society president Shahinur Al Amin alleged that there has been discrimination among assistant teachers and headmasters in the latest pay scale, saying it seems that headmasters are the officers and assistant teachers are the staff of the institution.
